The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for today and predicts there could be problems with ice.

The forecast:

Mostly dry with sunny intervals, perhaps just an odd wintry shower this afternoon, fresh to strong northerly winds will gradually back northwest with temperatures up to 5 or 6 Celsius.

Little change overnight, with temperatures down to 2 Celsius, but again close to freezing over the hills.

Sunny intervals but also a few showers tomorrow morning, dry through to afternoon with outbreaks of rain overnight. Temperatures up to 7 Celsius with a mainly moderate west to northwest wind.

Outbreaks of rain on Friday morning, mostly dry though the afternoon then rain returns overnight.
