Princess Anne will be visiting the island in October.

The Princess Royal has three official engagements on Friday, October 25.

She will open the renovated Market Hall in North Quay, Douglas.

The building is now the home of Noa Bakehouse and Bikestyle.

Princess Anne will also open the new facilities at Ramsey Park Hotel. The extended facilities at the hotel now include a function room which accommodates up to 200 guests.

She will also open the new road bridge over Peel harbour.

The road bridge over the River Neb replaced the single-carriageway hardwood timber bridge that had been in place since 1938.

The announcement of the royal visit was made by Government House.

Princess Anne last visited the island in 2015, when she unveiled the stone centrepiece of the labyrinth in the grounds of Peel Cathedral.

She also opened Ballavartyn equestrian centre at Santon, and visited the prison and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture headquarters at St John’s.
