A few showers around during this morning, but becoming dry with some brightness in the afternoon. Moderate to fresh southwest wind settling more northerly later in the day. Maximum temperature 7°C.
Overnight, variable cloud and lighter winds leading to a patchy frost, before temperatures recover as the southerly winds strengthen.
Into tomorrow, cloudy and dry to start then rain arriving late morning, clearing early in the afternoon. Thereafter, dry with variable amounts of cloud. Strong to gale force southwest wind easing later in the day. Top temperature 10°C.
For the weekend, gales or severe gales developing as Storm Dennis approaches which may lead to some damage and travel disruption. Very wet on Saturday but tending to dry up on Sunday. Milder with temperatures up to 9 or 10°C.
