Police in the north of the island have reported a busy weekend with arrests for drink-driving, driving while disqualified, drug trafficking and criminal damage.
A post on the Isle of Man Constabulary Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team Facebook page said: ’Events dealt with since Friday evening include one man arrested and charged with driving over the prescribed limit, another man has been arrested for two instances of driving whilst disqualified, missing from home reports, neighbour disputes, a criminal damage report, and a car/motorcycle road traffic collision.
’We are glad to say that the injured party isn’t as badly hurt as first thought.
’We have also arrested and interviewed a man concerning drug trafficking offences.
’The north also has several hundred firearms certificate holders.
’We are in the process of delivering the new certificates, while checking weapons and security arrangements that licence holders have in place.’
