The Red Arrows are returning to the skies above the island next weekend.

As part of the August bank holiday weekend, the Red Arrows will make their appearance over Douglas Bay on Saturday afternoon.

The RAF’s aerobatic team will fly over the bay at 2.30pm and complete a 30-minute display before flying back to their base in Lincolnshire.

The event is being sponsored by the Braddan-based International Financial Group Limited and the government’s domestic events fund.

A spokesperson for IFGL said: ’It’s a really good event to be involved in.

’We have all had a hard 18 months and the event will be something that lifts the mood of the island.

’As one of the biggest employers in the island, it’s good to be sponsoring these events.

’We have quite a good, strong record at supporting events on the island and we are really pleased to be involved.

’The event will be something that gives people the feel good factor, it will be good for the island and a positive afternoon.’

Manx Radio will be providing live commentary from Red 10, the display team’s very own commentator via their station.

The last time the Red Arrows carried out a display in the island was during the TT in 2019.
