Those who have brought beauty to Port St Mary in their gardens, allotments and hanging baskets were awarded by the village commissioners .
The ’in bloom’ competition is split into three categories: residential, business and allotment.
First, second and third places went to: Douglas MacFarlane for gardens around Cooil Veg; Tracy Chambers for the back garden at 10 Seafield Avenue; and David Whitehead for the back garden at 4 Lime Street.
Business Chantilly Lace won first prize followed by Discover Diving and Manx Ocean Crewing Ltd.
The allotment category was won by Alison Woodall for plots 54 and 63; second went to Christel Kenning for plots 52 and 53, both are at the village’s allotment site; third place went to Ian Watterson for Ballaqueeney Gardens.
Winners in each category received a £50 gift voucher from Ballagawne Nurseries and the overall winner - Mrs Woodall - got a cup and an additional £50 gift voucher.
