A multi-award winning barbers has added yet another prestigious award to its collection after being named as a winner at the Awards For Excellence.
Founder of the salon, Ben Drewry, collected the Appleby Award Small and Medium Size Enterprise at the Isle of Man Newspapers’ event this evening (Thursday).
The company was up against radio station 3FM, purchasing and leasing vehicle business Rex Leasing and greeting cards and gifts business Mantons Cards for this year’s award.
Drewry’s was established in 2014 and provides a premium grooming service at its two salons on Duke Street, Douglas, and Tynwald Mills in St John’s.
The company has been recognised for its ‘strong commitment’ to staff training and is affiliated to the London School of Barbers.
It was the first in the field to build a bespoke, industry-specific app which clients can use for bookings, news and updates and which also offers discounts for other local companies’ products and services.
Judges comments were: ‘Strong, evidence-based entry with a clear sense of the journey and longer term vision with the diversification into a new hair product and lifestyle range.’
