For the first time in many months Beach Buddies returns to Niarbyl this weekend with a volunteer event on Sunday, November 8, starting at 10.30am, finishing at noon.

This coast is suitable for all ages, as there is an easily accessible area of beach close to the thatched cottages, while the more agile can walk along to the White Beach.

Beach Buddies thanked local landowner Priscilla Mayall and her neighbour Tim Hewson for help in storing and collecting the rubbish collected from White Beach.

The charity will be providing refreshments afterwards from Knockuskey cottage for which Beach Buddies has a lease, courtesy of Manx National Heritage.

With permission from the Niarbyl Cafe owners, volunteers can use the cafe’s parking area, particularly the section farthest away from the cafe itself.
