BEACH Buddies will make its final visit to the island’s largest bird nesting area this weekend when volunteers meet on Sunday morning at the Point of Ayre.
It’s the last opportunity for a clean-up of the beaches along the northwest coast which will have restricted access after April 1, the official start date for the bird nesting season.
Volunteers will meet at 10.30am close to the main Point of Ayre lighthouse. The Beach Buddies truck and trailer will be the meeting point.
As always, all equipment is provided by the charity and items removed afterwards, recycling as many items as possible, such as plastics, metal and tin cans.
