The Steam Packet’s flagship vessel is undergoing her annual overhaul.
The Ben-my-Chree is currently in Cammell Laird in Birkenhead in dry dock.
She will return to service on Thursday, May 2.
The fast craft Manannan is operating passenger services to both Heysham and Liverpool, as per the timetable published last autumn.
MV Arrow, which the Steam Packet currently has on charter, will provide freight services.
During the overhaul, Manannan is leaving for Douglas for Heysham at 8am and for Liverpool at 3.30pm each day, with the return sailings departing Heysham at 12:00 and Liverpool at 7.15pm.
A replacement coach service will be provided at Heysham to transfer foot passengers to and from Lancaster railway station.
Steam Packet chief executive Mark Woodward said: ’It’s a mandatory requirement that Ben-my-Chree undergoes a technical overhaul to ensure everything is in good working order.
’To minimise disruption for our passengers we published Manannan’s revised schedule well in advance and ensured we still sail to and from both Heysham and Liverpool daily. During the overhaul, there will also be a coach to and from Lancaster Station to assist foot passengers travelling via Heysham.
’MV Arrow will provide freight services so local businesses and island residents will not be affected while she is in dry dock.
’Ben-My-Chree will soon be back and ready for another busy summer season.’
Later this year, the Ben-my-Chree will undertake a round-the-island cruise .
It will take place on Saturday, June 22.
Passengers will be able to see the Manx coastline and enjoy live music and a meal during the annual four-hour cruise.
The vessel leaves Douglas at 7pm.
It costs £29 for adults and £15 for children and includes a hot or cold soft drink and ice cream.
Mr Woodward said: ’Our round-the-island cruises are a great way for residents and visitors to get out and see parts of the island’s coastline they may not ordinarily see.
’With passengers able to enjoy a meal and entertainment from an oompah band as we sail, we are once again expecting tickets to be in demand.’
Although the bar won’t be open as the vessel is not licensed to sell alcohol while in Manx waters, passengers can take their own alcoholic beverage to have with their meal.
