Expected adverse weather has led to the cancellation of the Ben-my-Chree’s overnight sailings

It applies to this evening’s 8.30pm Douglas departure and the consequent return from Heysham early tomorrow morning.

The rest of Saturday’s journeys are also subject to possible disruption.

The master of the vessel is due to make a final decision on those sailings by 7am.

Newspaper wholesalers GE White issued this announcement on the newspapers: ’Due to the cancellation of tonight’s sailing of the Ben my Chree there will be no newspapers in the shops on Saturday. Unfortunately given the late notice there were no suitable aircraft available to take over the service.
