The new look Big Wheel Blues Festival bursts into life next weekend.

Now split into two separate days, one at either end of the summer, and featuring two different locations, the first date takes place at the Promenade Suite, at the Villa Marina on Saturday, May 6 .

The headline acts are the six-piece blues, rock and jazz group Mike Vernon and the Mighty Combo and the roots, ragtime and skiffle duo Veronica Sbergia and Max De Bernardi.

Tickets are £22.50, available from the Villa Gaiety box office.
