Bill Dale, the founder of Beach Buddies, is to give a talk to the Isle of Man’s Lady Farmers next week.

The former newspaper editor’s initative has attracted hundreds of people to help to clean up the island’s coastline.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 14, 8pm at the Millennium Hall, Crosby, and old and new members are welcome.

The Lady Farmers’ annual general meeting elected the following people.

Chairperson Linda Christian; vice chairperson Dolores Osborn; secretary Angela Southern; treasurer Gwen Kelly; press secretary Hilary Kermode. This year’s retiring chairperson Marie Lambden has chosen the Agricultural Benevolent Fund and Autism Initiatives as the recipients of the Lady Farmers’ charity donation.

Autism Initiatives is raising funds to buy a minibus in memory of Marie’s late husband, Murray.
