A feel-good indie-pop group will be the latest local band to appear at the Villa Marina this weekend.

Biskee Brisht will headline the second ’Made In Mann’ night at the Villa Marina, appearing with support groups Spaghetti and the Hoops and solo singer Keiran Ball on the Promenade Suite stage tomorrow night (Friday), from 7.30pm.

The popular group are led by charismatic singer Ruby Briscoe-Taylor and also feature David ’Kin’ Kinley on guitar, bassist Matt Brewster, accordionist John Kaighin, percussionist Felipe Kowalczuk and a brass section including Django Kinley on the trumpet and James Kinley playing the trombone.

This gig will also feature the band’s new drummer Matt Creer, who is making his first public appearance with the band.

The Villa Marina gig will cap a busy and productive year for the group, who released their debut album, ’Standing In The Sea’, earlier this year, along with a string of singles, including the songs ’This Won’t End Well’, ’Sick and Tired’ and ’Not Again’.

They are currently in the studio recording a Christmas single and are also working on producing a series of lyric videos, filmed and produced by Felipe, who runs Open Water Films.

The Made In Mann concerts are free to enter and are organised by the Isle of Man Arts Council to showcase original music, with the aim of introducing local bands to a new audience.
