A concert featuring a world-class blues guitarist has been postponed.

Guitarist and singer Adam Franklin, had been due to play at the Laxey Institute on Saturday, October 10.

However, the ongoing uncertainty over the global pandemic has meant that the gig has had to be postponed.

Organiser John Gregory, of Blue John Media, said: ’I was really looking forward to bringing Adam from the UK to the island later in the year, but rest assured this is only a temporary delay and the gig will happen next year.

’The reason for the postponement is due to the fact the borders are still closed for non-residents and there is no official date yet for when they will be re-open.

’However, once things have settled down further, Adam will be making his Isle of Man debut and will also be hosting a workshop too.

’A new date will be announced as soon as the situation changes. Adam is a stunning and highly entertaining guitarist and a great character and I know when he is able to play here he will make a lasting impression.’
