A new book looks at tourism in Port Erin.

Hotels were built and life started to revolve around the needs of the visitors in the early 20th century.

This new book, Port Erin Past and Present, celebrates the village’s history of welcoming visitors.

The old photographs are drawn from the old postcards collected by Ray Stanfield.

The Victorian hotels with their ballrooms, live entertainment and seaside competitions, dominated the upper promenade until the 1990s, when redevelopment saw many replaced with flats.

Local photographer George Hobbs has matched new views with old.

The captions were written by former Manx Bard Sara Goodwins.

The book costs £13.95 and has 128 pages.
