Ramsey’s bowling alley now has a new sponsor.

From this week, it is officially called the Pepsi Max Bowl.

The deal with telecommunications company Sure, which had been the sponsor, ended last month.

The bowling alley’s marketing director, Julie Corteen, said: ’Pepsi Max is a well-known international brand and we are proud to have been chosen to work with them.

’We are planning a fun day from 11am to 6pm on Saturday, January 13 - with product samples from Pepsi Max, spot prizes, free prize draw, "try-it" lanes, free tapas tasters from Sombreros menu and more.’

Ian Boak of Britvic International, which is responsible for the sponsorship deal, said: ’Britvic are delighted to be associated with the Ramsey bowling centre. This is a wonderful opportunity over the next five years to support the team.’

The bowling alley has 10 lanes, pool tables, table tennis, air hockey and a soft play area for small children.

It opened in 2011 in premises that used to be home to a swimming pool.
