Former world heavyweight champion Frank Bruno (pictured) is to visit the island next week for an event held in a pub in Ramsey.

Bruno, who won the world title at Wembley in 1995 is the headline of ’An audience with Frank Bruno’ next Monday, April 30, at Bar Logo in Parliament Street, Ramsey.

He said: ’I have not been to the Isle of Man for years. In fact, I am not sure if I have been at all. I am sure your residents will remember better than me. When I was boxing I was sent all over the UK.

’Anyway, it will be nice to go to meet some new people and I am sure lots will hopefully remember where they were when I fought Mike Tyson and Oliver McCall. My presentation is all about my life as a boxer, my home life, and my fight with mental health.’

Tickets are £55 and can be bought from Bar Logo, Parliament Street, Ramsey, any day after 11.30am.
