Homeless charity Graih is counting the cost following a break-in over Easter.
Some £40-50 in petty cash was stolen during the break-in at the Douglas-based charity’s admin office in the Alpha Centre on Broadway.
Graih said a considerable amount of damage was caused which will cost quite a lot to put right.
The charity’s Alan Buck said: ’If you feel able and willing to offer financial support for this small and worthy registered charity, please send a cheque (even the smallest amount will help) made out to Graih, The Alpha Centre, Broadway, Douglas IM2 3EN.’
Police said the break-in took place between 10pm on Friday and 1pm the following afternoon.
Officers said the building was broken into through the office window located at the rear of the premises with the only access down a side alley.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Constable Shaw at police headquarters on 631212 or they can give their information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
