Multiple road closures remain in place as Storm Bram cleanup continuesA union representative asked for the ’Say hello to the fairies’ recording on Isle of Man Transport buses to be disabled, arguing that it was ridiculed by passengers and disliked by drivers, it has emerged.
The call was made by Unite secretary Carl Vernon at a meeting held between unions and Bus Vannin management in the boardroom at Banks Circus on September 7. The exchange was revealed in minutes of Bus Vannin union meetings released following a Freedom of Information request to the Department of Infrastructure.
Minutes of meetings between Bus Vannin and Unite from October 2011 were released.
