One of the island’s landmark filling stations enters a new era with a new fuel supplier from today (Thursday).

The Brown Bobby was closed yesterday (Wednesday) as a team from EVF (Ellan Vannin Fuels Ltd) prepared to take over

The petrol station was previously signed up to rival Manx Petroleum.

The move means that EVF will now be supplying petrol at two garages in Peel Road.

EVF said: ’We are pleased to announce the Brown Bobby petrol station and the team at the site are joining the EVF family from Wednesday this week. We will close on Wednesday to allow for stock checks and operational changes to allow the site to trade as EVF and will aim to be reopen as soon as possible.

’Once we reopen we will be able to accept full range of fuel cards at the site.

’We are looking forward to welcoming our new colleagues and customers to EVF.

’We will be in touch with all local account customers this week and happy to assist with any questions you may have.’
