A dental practice based in Douglas has been named the best referral clinic in the north at the Private Dentistry Awards.

The Square, based in Woodbourne Square, is as a secondary referral centre and treats complicted cases referred from other dentists.

The ceremony took place at Park Plaza Westminster in London and this year there was a record number of appplications.

The Squares specialises in advanced root canal, dental implant, periodontal disease, surgical extraction and smile design.

Owner Byron Tsivos said: ’We are proud to see our mission to meet the advanced oral health needs of the manx community to receive national recognition and be aknowledged as the best referral clinic in UK north. It is the first time a dental practice from the island has managed such an achievement.’
