High-profile banking expert Professor Peter Hahn will be speaking at an event in the island on Thursday. (May 31).
Professor Hahn is often quoted in the media on financial and banking issues.
The free event will be taking place at the Claremont Hotel, Douglas from 5.30pm.
He is dean of the London Institute of Banking and Finance. (LIBF)
He is responsible for academic leadership at The LIBF and ensures industry knowledge remains current and forward looking.
The event has been organised by the island brach of the LIBF.
A spokesman said it will be of interest to people not only working in the banking industry but also in regulation and finance.
Professor Hahn joined The LIBF in 2016 as dean and Henry Grunfeld professor of banking.
He was senior/special advisor to the Bank of England Prudential Regulation Authority and its predecessor, The Financial Services Authority, from 2009-2014 where he advised bank supervision on recovery and resolution, banking business models, capital and liquidity, and remuneration and governance.
His talk will centre on his experiences on bank supervision, recovery and resolution, banking business models, capital and liquidity requirements and remuneration and governance. All are welcome and can register to attend by emailing [email protected] or by turning up on the evening.
