Browne Craine, DQ and the Finance Isle of Man agency are heading to London to promote the Isle of Man at TAG Alliances’ annual spring conference which is being held in London this month.
TAG is an alliance of international independent legal and accountancy firms from around the world.
Members are carefully selected for membership based on professional competence, commitment to client service, reputation within the business community, and recommendations from existing members.
global reach
Through TAG, Browne Craine and DQ have the global reach to serve clients wherever the growth of their business takes them.
Having joined more than 12 years ago, Browne Craine is proud to be a long standing accountancy member representing the Isle of Man, with DQ also being members for 10 years.
The Finance Isle of Man agency were first introduced to TAG Alliances when Browne Craine organised TAG’s UK and Ireland regional conference meeting in the Isle of Man in July, 2018 which was co-hosted by DQ.
The weekend gave Browne Craine and DQ the opportunity to showcase the island, and given the Isle of Man had the best weather we’d seen in a long time, delegates thought they’d come to a tropical island.
The agenda was packed full of various social activities and presentations; at the breakfast seminar, the Finance Isle of Man agency’s head of banking and fiduciaries, John Hunter, joined Browne Craine and DQ to discuss the benefits of the Isle of Man and why it’s a good place to do business.
In London, director Basil Bielich will represent Browne Craine and managing director Mark Dougherty and director Leanne McKeown will represent DQ at the conference. Mr Hunter, as part of his contribution to the UK and Ireland regional meeting, was invited to the London conference by Richard Attisha who is TAG’s chief executive.
The Finance Isle of Man agency is sponsoring one of the networking lunches which will allow Mr Hunter, who will be joined by Mr Bielich and Mr Dougherty, to host a round table discussion about the Isle of Man and continuing to raise the profile of the island as a jurisdiction.
Mr Hunter said: ’I’ve been really impressed by TAG Alliances and what I’ve seen of them.
’One thing that stood out for me at the UK and Ireland regional conference was all the members were so keen to network with the other member firms, it was very refreshing.
Richard [Attisha] invited me to attend the London conference and I was, of course, delighted to accept.
’Finance Isle of Man is sponsoring one of the lunches so I look forward to promoting the Isle of Man in this way. I’m looking forward to attending the event with Basil, Mark and Leanne; I am sure it will be a highly successful trip.’ The event is from May 8 to May 10 at the Grosvenor Hotel, London.
