Disruption is the theme of a presentation business leaders will hear this week.
Stuart Colligon, a director at local business consultancy Auxesia, will deliver a breakfast presentation to Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce members on Thursday.
The talk - Disruptive Influences - will take place at the Eagle Lab in Victoria Street, Douglas. It will assess the success rate of ’internal disruption and how management can effectively take control of this.
Mr Colligon, a business consultant, says he will demonstrate how the policy of seeking change is designed to ensure continuous improvement - not letting things get too comfortable and taking the ’if it ain’t broke, smash it to pieces and build a better one’ approach.
He said: ’Industry disruption is, in reality, very hard to achieve and requires enormous luck. During the presentation I will provide insights into the disruptive influences to expect in the short-term and how to take advantage of these. I’m really looking forward to the talk and sharing my knowledge with local professionals from a wide range of industries.’
Rebecca George, chief executive officer at Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce, said: ’Stuart is a highly respected businessman and has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share, we’re really looking forward to welcoming him as a guest speaker. The topic sounds really interesting and I’m sure our members will take a lot away from it.’
Tickets are available to Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce members for £10.
