The Castle Mona has been sold at auction for just under £1.25m.
The iconic building which was listed at a reserve price of £750,000 sold at Lambert Smith Hampton auctioneers in London for £1,210,000.
The new owners of the former hotel, and their plans for the building are not yet known.
It had been in the ownership of the Sefton Group since 2007 after it closed in December 2006.
