One of the founders of LMS Partners, an investments and retirement planning business, is now a pension transfer specialist after achieving a qualification with the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Christina Skelly, who is a director and chartered financial planner at the Douglas-based company, recently passed the AF7 Pension Transfer examination to achieve the Certificate in Pension Transfers.
Steve Locking, managing director of LMS Partners, congratulated Ms Skelly on her achievement.
He said: ’While Christina has been a chartered financial planner since 2014, industry changes have resulted in new qualifications being available to allow advisers to continue their professional development.
’The Chartered Insurance Institute qualification is relatively new and demonstrates her commitment to professional development and acquiring further technical ability.
’It also means that Christina can now add pension transfer specialist to her repertoire which is great news for the business and our valued customers.’

LMS Partners began trading just over two years ago shortly after being formed by Mr Locking, Ms Skelly and Kathy Mitchell.
After its first two years the business currently has assets under advice totalling £65million.
As reported in business news in the Isle of Man Examiner, LMS Partners recently appointed Mrs Mitchell as director. This was following her recent success in attaining the Level 6 Chartered Institute For Securities & Investment Diploma in Investment Compliance. LMS Partners is based in Athol Street, Douglas.
