Audit and advisory company Grant Thornton has appointed Claire Watterson.
She will join the firm’s new insolvency resolution division which provides contentious insolvency ‘solutions’.
She is now part of a team of insolvency and forensic specialists.
A company spokesman said she brings lots of experience to the role and joins from Douglas-based CW Consulting Limited where she was a senior manager, working with both local and international lawyers to bring and defend claims in various jurisdictions.
Director Richard Ratcliffe said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Claire to the team and am confident she will be a valuable addition and someone who is pivotal in our future development as the business continues to evolve.
‘She brings outstanding skills and experience in a variety of regulated businesses, including advisory skills and management of large litigious liquidations.
‘Claire will contribute significantly to our ongoing work and the provision of contentious insolvency services.’
Ms Watterson said: ‘The opportunity to join such a respected organisation was very attractive. I look forward to working as part of such a dedicated team and those in the large network of other Grant Thornton member firms.’
