Celton Manx is inviting applications for Recognition 2019.

It is the eGaming company’s sponsorship programme which provides support to local charities and not-for-profit organisations, in particular those with limited resources for promoting and developing their services.

Celton Manx executive director Bill Mummery said: ‘2019 will be the fourth year of our Recognition scheme, which has brought us into contact with some remarkable individuals and volunteer groups all working selflessly to transform people’s lives.

‘The third sector’s contribution to creating a just and caring society is growing as government recognises and, increasingly, draws upon the wealth of experience and knowledge that distinguishes so many voluntary bodies.

‘These organisations, though, are having to respond to greater calls on their services at a time when their budgets are under mounting pressure.

‘Our Recognition programme acknowledges those demands and applauds the third sector’s creativity and resourcefulness in facing those challenges head on.

‘The awards – be they monetary or practical support – serve not only to promote and celebrate volunteer organisations’ work but also to alert potential service users to the support they offer.

‘In short, the aims of Recognition are to help local good causes gain heightened visibility and to further their work in providing the best possible outcomes for their clients.’
