It has been confirmed that the multi-jurisdictional global data solutions provider, has been authorised by the PGCB (Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board) to provide co-location, data warehousing and managed network services to online gaming operators.

Michael Tobin, chief executive, Continent 8 Technologies, shared his insights on Pennsylvania’s authorisation saying: ’We are very excited to bring our global network and managed services to the online gaming community in Pennsylvania.

’The new opportunities for gaming operators, including online sports betting companies, will require a partner like Continent 8 that is knowledgeable and delivers expeditious results.

’The upcoming launch date for mobile online casino and sports betting only increases the urgency to set up operations now.’

Continent 8 is uniquely positioned to serve clients currently operating in Pennsylvania and those considering entering the online gaming market.

After receiving the international business of the year title at the Awards for Excellence, a Continent 8 boss told of the importance of the island to the business.

David Black, managing director for Europe, North America and Africa, collected the award on behalf of the company.

He said : ’The Isle of Man is our home: we’ve been here for many years and we’ve expanded internationally.

’Because you go around the world youbegin to value things like the availability of people who are highly skilled and well educated.

’We can get that in various places but whatyou can’t get is that sense of community that we get in the Isle of Man so we have our team here tonight, all cheering their hearts out because we’ve won and that’s great and it’s hard to replicate that just anywhere.’
