The deadline is fast approaching to apply for a position which provides Manx students with the chance to take their first steps in a career in marketing.
Applications will soon close for the 2018/19 Marketing Apprentice role at offshore law firm Appleby. Starting next month, Appleby will offer a one-year paid placement comprising relevant work experience and the chance to learn and develop new skills.
It is the second successive year Appleby has offered the position via The Marketing Apprenticeship Scheme, an initiative in conjunction with the Department of Education, Sport and Culture and The Marketing Partnership. Along with the work placement the scheme allows participants to study towards the CIM Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Marketing qualification.
Anna McChesney, communications and business development executive at Appleby, says the benefits are clear: ‘The Marketing Apprentice role is a fantastic opening, combining business experience with a marketing qualification.
‘The role is varied and interesting; no two days are the same.
‘We’re looking for someone who has a passion for communications and marketing, and the drive and ambition to kick-start their career.’
Phoebe Harwood, 19, was successful in applying for the 2017/18 Marketing Apprentice role at Appleby; she worked four days in the office per week, with the other day dedicated to studying.
Closing date for applications is Monday, August 20.
