A Manx electrical firm with nearly 50 years’ experience serving the island is looking for new owners.
Waltons Digital World announced this week that the decision has been made to welcome fresh investment into the firm via new ownership to allow it to grow.
While potential sales of long-standing businesses can often be met with trepidation, this is certainly not the feeling for the staff and management at Waltons who feel like the sale is a great opportunity for the business.
Director Robert Byers told iomtoday.co.im: ’We see this sale as the beginning of a new chapter for Waltons. There is already serious interest in the business.
’Waltons is long established and has a great relationship with its loyal customers.
’Our local service facility is something our competitors can’t offer, so we will continue to offer the best service and value.’
He added that the company has recently carried out improvements on its base up at the Cooil to expand the available product range and services the tech firm can provide.
On its Facebook page, the company stated it is ’unique in its service capabilities, average annual television sales in the thousands, trusted and respected locally. With the right backing so much more could be done to expand this business.’
Mr Byers concluded by saying: ’Investment from a buyer will allow Waltons to exploit its potential.’
