Technology and platform provider plan.com has been named one of Britain’s fastest-growing private tech companies for a third year running.

The Douglas-based business won the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 award in 2018, when it reported revenue growth of 346%.

Published this month the 20th anniversary Sunday Times Sage Tech Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s private technology, media and telecoms companies with the fastest-growing sales.

This Covid-19 edition also recognises the performance of the 100 companies, their contribution to the economy and responses to the pandemic.

Neil Kelly, chief financial officer at plan.com said: ’We’re extremely proud of the significant year-on-year growth we’ve achieved.

’Being crowned 2018 winner of the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 awards was a phenomenal achievement for a start-up business.

’To be recognised for three consecutive years in such a prestigious listing is a true testament to the hard work of the whole team.’

He added: ’Like many businesses, we’ve had to adapt quickly to circumstances that were unthinkable this time last year.

’There’s no doubt it has been a difficult time for everyone. For our customers, their reliance on technology and communications has never been greater, and our team has worked tirelessly to maintain full connectivity and continuation of service throughout the pandemic.

’Our unique, online proposition, has allowed us to continue working closely with our partners, while providing a flexible, mobile solution to help manage their pipeline, business and customers through these challenging times.’

Plan.com says it has posted consistently strong growth in sales since it began trading in 2014.

The company is currently developing its ’super HQ’ on Victoria Street in Douglas, which will open next year.

The building will have seven floors and be ’ultra-high tech’ in its infrastructure and vibe thanks to features such as its living walls, suspended meeting pods and roof-top bar.

Paul Struthers, managing director, UK and Ireland at Sage, one of the sponsors behind the rankings, said: ’Being tuned into the drumbeat of the UK’s tech innovation is in our blood and it is fantastic to see so many companies thriving despite the challenging environment.

’The Tech Track 100 is a great platform for us to support and showcase the next generation of brilliant tech businesses.’
