Following on from the Leading in a Digital World event, the final instalment of the Future Works series of panel discussions takes place later this month.

Survival Skills for Future-Proof Recruitment for your Business will take place on Wednesday, January 29 from midday to 2pm at the iMuseum (Manx Museum), Kingswood Grove, Douglas.

Future Works has designed the series to be a thought-provoking and informative speaker panel event from a professional perspective.

Conceived to inspire, inform, and motivate employers, high potential employees, and career movers and shakers, all the while addressing the everyday challenges of skills shortages, retention, and recruitment.

The last instalment of this series will underpin the topics discussed in the previous Future Works events and bring the series to a thoughtful close.

Focusing on the changing landscape and future of recruitment, a panel of industry specialists will guide attendees through several areas.

The event will be led by broadcaster Beth Espey, who will be joined on the panel by Anne Murray, recruitment manager at Search & Select; Dee Copley, human resources business partner at Zurich; Lisa Karran, chief operating officer of Creative 3D Web and committee member of Love Tech; and Sue Gee, managing director of TLC Business Solutions.

A spokesman said: ’With each panellist bringing a wealth of experience to the discussion, attendees can expect the event to cover pressing topics such as filling the future demand for talent, soft skills for the future of work, realigning education for tomorrow’s workforce, and retraining and reskilling workers.

’The recruitment industry is changing rapidly, and this last instalment in the Future Works series recognises the hiring and development of talent and its importance within a company’s future.

’Getting top tier talent into the workforce requires a new approach, with the event focusing on candidate engagement and the future of workplace training.

’Attendees can expect to leave with fresh insight, practical tools, and valuable connections needed to find, create, and nurture the best career and business opportunities in the Isle of Man.’

The Future Works series is brought recruitment agency Search & Select and sponsored by global life assurance business Zurich International, and is organised by Bold Consultancy.

Registration is free, and Future Works encourages those within a senior leadership and HR roles to register now, as places are limited and this final instalment is expected to be another sell-out event.
