Gambling giant Isle of Man registered GVC is committed to raising standards from the very top of the organisation.

Responsible Gambling Week, a cross industry initiative, gets under way on Thursday.

GVC bought Ladbrokes Coral earlier this year and owns a string of brands including Foxy Bingo.

Lawrence Hanlin, director, regulatory assurance, for GVC Holdings PLC was one of a number of high profile people who took part in an eGaming roundtable for Business News.

He stressed the FTSE 100 company ‘can’t hide’ from its responsibilities to raise standards.

The group’s chief executive Kenny Alexander has already announced he supported a pre-watershed advertising ban for gambling companies.
