Sam Tipper has joined Manx Telecom as the company invests in its corporate account management team.

Sam has been appointed as account manager with a primary focus on developing customer relationships with small and medium-sized enterprises.

Sam - who has both a CIM [Chartered Institute of Marketing] diploma in professional marketing and an ACCA [Association of Chartered Certified Accountants] diploma in accounting and business - joins Manx Telecom from Panacea, a B2B [business-2-business] pharmaceutical business based in the island.

After gaining experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and after recently celebrating the birth of his first child, Sam decided that it was a natural point in his career to move to a new sector.

He said: ’Manx Telecom was the ideal choice for me because I’ve always been interested in technology. When the opportunity arose to work for an independent Manx company, and a PLC [public limited company] , it was an opportunity that I could not miss.

’It’s an exciting time to be joining the business and I’m looking forward to helping clients get the most out of the latest communications solutions.’

As part of his role, Sam is also looking to introduce more companies to the advantages offered by Manx Telecom’s MT clearSound product.

At the launch earlier this year of the MT clearSound project, people who were hard of hearing and experts described it as ’ground-breaking.’

As recently reported in Business News MT clearSound personalises the sound quality of speech in incoming and outgoing calls on the Manx Telecom mobile network, and is currently exclusively available, for free, to the company’s Pay Monthly mobile customers.

MT clearSound is beneficial for anyone with normal hearing or those with hearing loss.

Andrew Honour, head of B2B sales at Manx Telecom, welcomed Sam’s appointment.

He said: ’He is an excellent addition to an already strong team of account managers.

His appointment is part of our ongoing investment in people to provide the best possible service to our corporate customers.’
