The new KFC restaurant and drive-thru isn’t due to open this TT, but it will be later in the summer.
June 20 is now believed to be the opening date for KFC.
It has been advertising for part-time staff ahead of this for its new store on Peel Road. These adverts have since ended.
The fast-food restaurant and drive-thru, Starbucks cafe and drive-thru, and Indian restaurant Vellikas Kitchen are sharing the former Eurocars site on Peel Road in Douglas after an application (18/00977/B) by Buchanan Services Ltd was approved by the planning committee.

Excel Construction Group, undertaking all works at the site, says Vellikas Kitchen, the sister establishment to the Ramsey Indian restaurant, is anticipated to be open ‘at the back end of this year’.
KFC and Starbucks will be fully operational during the summer. KFC will operate between 11am to 11pm and Starbucks from 6am to 10pm, both for seven days a week.
Meanwhile, an Italian takeaway has closed its doors permanently due to staff shortages.
Pizza Napoli Ramsey owners took to social media last week to announce the closure.
Their statement said: ‘After trying to find staff and reopen Pizza Napoli Ramsey for a long time, we took the difficult decision to close the shop permanently.
‘We would like to thank you all for the time being our customers and part of our family for almost seven years.
‘We really appreciate the time and the support you have given to us.’
It added: ‘During our journey in Ramsey, we met so many amazing customers, even some of them become our friends.
‘We’ll miss you, and you are always very welcome in our restaurant in Douglas.
‘We want to thank all of our staff who have been part of our team all these years.’
