A Douglas-based finance sector firm has announced the appointment of a new director.
Patrick McCarrick has joined the board at trust and corporate services company Knox House Trust as its risk and compliance director.
Mc McCarrick joined Knox House Trust, which is based in Finch Road, in 2016 and has more than 23 years’ experience within the island’s financial services sector.
He is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association (ICA) and during his career has held a number of senior compliance roles.
He has experience in banking, investment and fund management and fiduciary services.
In his new role as director, Mr McCarrick will continue to work closely with Anthony Page, the managing director, and the wider senior team to ensure that all statutory and regulatory requirements are carried out to the highest standards.
Mr McCarrick said: ’Increasingly complex compliance obligations and an ever-changing regulatory landscape, not to mention the uncertainty of Brexit, has resulted in many businesses expanding their compliance resources in response to these changes, and KHT is no exception.
’Changing client needs and our ambitions to exceed them has led us to consider expansion further afield. For me to now have a stronger presence in the senior management team where I can help shape the future of the business is a very exciting position to find myself in.’
