Mylchreests Motors is adding the Subaru franchise to its existing relationships with Vauxhall, Mitsubishi and Jaguar Land Rover.
This is the first time for a number of years that the Subaru marque has been available to residents of the Isle of Man.
Mylchreests is based in Millmount, New Castletown Road, Douglas.
The Japanese carmaker is in the top 10 vehicle brands in terms of sales in the USA.
However, Subaru isperhaps best known in the automotive world for sport, and particularly in rallying - this prowess has a local connection, with the Mark Higgins piloted WRX STI holding the current car lap record of the TT course.
Mylchreests says it hopes to be able to increase the involvement of Subaru in both the TT and other local events, and are hopeful that their success on the world stage will be echoed on the Isle of Man.
David Mylchreest, managing director of Mylchreests Motors, said: ’We are delighted to be able to increase our brand diversity and customer offer, and to do so with such an established and somewhat unique brand is especially exciting.
’Subaru will fit nicely alongside our current portfolio of products and the team at Mylchreests is really looking forward to immersing themselves into this fantastic product range now again available on the Isle of Man, and giving the Manx motoring public - as we have always done - a service which is second to none for this great brand.’
Mylchreests will have demonstrators and showroom cars available for customer viewing and test drives from across the Subaru range. The Subaru franchise will operate out of the existing showroom.
