Another business is setting up in Ramsey.

The doors will soon be opening at Turner’s Intersport in a unit on the corner of West Street and Parliament Street.

Charlie Turner said: ‘We’ve been looking for premises in Ramsey for some time now and believe we’ve found the right place on Parliament Street, in the old Marown Electricals building.

‘We’ve been struck by how welcoming and helpful the commissioners and local business community have been, and hope that we can contribute in a positive way.

‘Ramsey has been revived in the last years thanks to investment and the work of the council and really is the home of independent retail on the island.

‘We can’t wait to get started and look forward to welcoming you all very soon.’

Chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners, Andy Cowie, said: ‘We are delighted to learn of the decision by yet another high quality retailer to join our thriving town centre, which has become the home of Independent retail in the island. Popular and long-standing retailer Intersport will provide a much-needed sports outlet to provide equipment and sportswear for the vast range of sporting activities undertaken in Ramsey and the North.’
