It’s the beginning of August. TK Maxx already has Hop-tu-Naa-themed footrests clogging its shelves, naturally, which means one thing - the Awards for Excellence is back on the horizon.
If you squint hard enough, you can see the AfE disco ball glittering in the distance as it comes out of storage for this year.
As usual, the proverbial red carpet is being rolled out for all the local companies generously donating their time and funds to help make the event happen.
Starting with Marbral Advisory.
‘The Awards for Excellence is incredibly important for the island; they shine a spotlight on the individuals, teams and organisations making a positive impact in our community.
‘They provide well-deserved recognition for achievements through hard work, innovation and dedication, while also inspiring others to strive for excellence in their own fields.’
Those are the kind words of Stuart Ingledew, Principal Change Architect at Marbral Advisory, explaining why he believes the Awards are worthy of their support.
‘Beyond celebrating those successes though, the Awards help bring the island’s business and professional community together, creating opportunities to share ideas, build connections and showcase the talent that exists here. They reinforce a sense of pride in what can be achieved locally and help highlight the island as a place where people and organisations can thrive.’
If the name Marbral Advisory rings a bell, it’s because they sponsored last year’s Awards for Excellence, and proudly so, according to Stu.
‘We had a very positive experience. It’s great to be part of an event that recognises the performance of people and entities on our island, and the event aligns well with our goals and values.
‘It also provided an excellent platform to engage with clients, participants and stakeholders, and that’s why we are excited to return and be a sponsor at the event again this year.’
A bit of background on Marbral Advisory, courtesy of Stu: ‘Our approach focuses on our mantra of making “change wanted, change happen and change stick”, combining our highly experienced practitioners with practical solutions and delivery support to help organisations achieve sustainable outcomes and long-term growth.’
The company works with a wide range of organisations across both the public and private sectors and is a people-focused transformation consultancy helping organisations plan, manage, deliver and embed sustainable change.
Stu tells me that, as a change management organisation, Marbral Advisory is particularly proud to support initiatives like the Awards for Excellence because they celebrate something at the heart of what the company does every day: helping people achieve meaningful change and deliver outstanding results.
‘Behind every successful project, innovation or achievement recognised through these awards is a story of individuals and teams embracing new ways of working, overcoming challenges and driving improvement. That’s exactly what effective change is all about.’
Stu believes the Awards provide an opportunity to recognise those successes, share inspiring stories and showcase the talent, resilience and innovation that exists across the island.
‘By celebrating excellence, we encourage a culture of continuous improvement and help inspire the next generation of leaders, innovators and change-makers,’ Stu says. ‘We’re delighted to be part of that journey and to support an event that highlights the very best of what our island community can achieve.’
