Two Manx businesses are celebrating the second anniversary of a successful partnership.
Bosses of both companies say it’s a great example that illustrates some of the reasons behind the success of the island’s food and drink sector.
In 2016 Noa Bakehouse in Douglas began collaborating with hot drinks firm MannVend.
For the past two years coffee connoisseurs across the island have been enjoying Noa roast house beans in MannVend’s bean to cup vending machines.
Miles Pettit from Noa Bakehouse said: ‘The story really began about three years ago when, because of our passion for coffee and local produce, we decided to invest in a roaster and we have been roasting our own coffee ever since.
‘In 2016 we started a fantastic partnership with MannVend and developed a roast profile that allowed our coffee to work really well with their bean to cup machines, and with Manx water.’
Tracey Leahy, managing director of MannVend, said: ‘The partnership has worked extremely well and we’re delighted with the quality and taste that our discerning customers experience when choosing coffee from our coffee machines across the island.
‘Miles and the whole Noa Bakehouse team share our commitment to quality, and that’s been the key to the success of our partnership because it is essential to consistently produce a quality product that consumers trust and enjoy.
‘MannVend is a local business and it’s a priority of ours to work with fellow local suppliers. More and more consumers on the island want high quality local produce, and our collaboration with Noa Bakehouse is a great example of how Manx companies can work together to meet that demand.
‘Two years is a significant milestone that’s worth celebrating, but we’re already looking forward to hopefully the next 20 years.’ Miles Pettit and Tracey Leahy feature in a video celebrating the partnership between the two companies – to watch it go to MannVend’s Facebook page.
