A poppy display in an estate agent’s windows helped to raise more than £1,000 for the Royal British Legion.

Cowley Groves’ offices in Douglas and Ramsey replaced the property advertisements in their windows to display poppies and Douglas featured a sea of more than 10,000 paper poppies.

The company has created a similar display for a number of years now.

A number of companies donate to the appeal.

The Royal British Legion provides help to members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, veterans and their families with expert advice and guidance, to recovery and rehabilitation, through to transitioning to civilian life.

By making a donation and sponsoring the poppy cards in the windows with their company logos on, they are helping The Legion to provide vital support to those in need within the Armed Forces community.

The Isle of Man often raises more per capita during the appeal than anywhere in the UK.
