The Tech Talks at Mountain View are back for their third series, welcoming a range of speakers covering a wide range of topical subjects.
The series will launch on Thursday September 24 with the topic ’Data Breach? - That Would Never Happen To Me!’ presented by Colin Tansley, managing director of Intelect Group.
Mr Tansley is a career investigator and former senior police officer, and his talk will explore the tactics that cyber criminals are now employing to gain access to data. Using real-life examples, Mr Tansley will focus on social engineering and the art of exploiting human psychology, rather than technical hacking techniques, to gain access to buildings, systems or data. He will give participants the information they need to help keep their personal and company data safe.
In October Kristan McDonald, chief technology officer from Pushologies and vice chair of the chamber of commerce, exploring the topic ’The Future of Mann - What does it hold for you and your Business?’, followed in November by Chris Gledhill, managing director of PDMS, tackling the topic of digital identity.
The talks are free of charge but to secure your place for the first talk, visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/data-breach-that-would-never-happen-to-me-tickets-168116323449 More information and links to book for future sessions can be found via the link on the Mountain View Innovation Centre Facebook page, or by visiting the Mountain View website What’s On Page, https://www.mvic.im/whats-on/
