Representatives from the a finance sector company with an office in the Isle of Man are currently in Cannes at an international property conference, MIPIM.

Senior manager at SMP Accounting and Tax Rachael Hooper, who’s based at the Douglas office, and the director at SMP Partners (Jersey) Katy Stopford, who’s originally from the Isle of Man, arrived in the French city on Tuesday and will be there till tomorrow (Friday).

The event takes place over four days around the Palais des Festivals.

More than 3,000 companies exhibit at MIPIM, with 24,000 professionals from 100 countries coming together for four days of what’s described as ’networking, learning and conferencing’.

MIPIM is a French acronym. It stands for ’Le marché international des professionnels de l’immobilier’.
