Five businesses that are Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce members were given an opportunity to show off their services to other members.

The ‘member showcase’ event was held at Chamber’s headquarters at the Barclays Eagle Lab in Victoria Street, Douglas.

It was free and open to Chamber members and non-members to attend.

Rebecca George, Chamber’s chief executive, said: ‘This is the first member showcase event of its type and proved to be very popular for the members giving presentations.

‘Each business had five to 10 minutes to give their presentation, and there was ample time afterwards for everyone to network, build business relationships, and share ideas.

‘It’s another added advantage of joining the island’s biggest business network and we’ve already had a lot of interest in member showcase events being planned for the coming months.’

Representing Pinnacle were Kimberley Moughtin, business development manager and Caroline Lyon, accountant.

Elaine Codona, owner, spoke for Global People Solutions.

Steve Heeney, consultant, was representing Cyberscience).

Also speaking were Adrian Bell, founder of The Dome and and Justin McMullin, owner and managing director, Event Lighting Services.

Cyberscience provides data analysis, business intelligence, decision support, production reporting and rapid application development ‘solutions.’

Event Lighting Services (ELS) is a light, sound, audio visual and special effects company.

Global People Solutions designs and delivers training and development ‘solutions’ for companies that want to invest in their employees and make changes to their business.

Pinnacle offers book-keeping and accounting services.

The Dome at The Nunnery is said to be the most advanced digital planetarium and cinema theatre in the island.
