Our business would not be where it is without the dedication of our team.

That was the message from Ann Collins, managing director of insurance broker Rossborough (IoM) as the company celebrated 15 years in the island.

The Isle of Man branch was opened in 2005, starting with a team of four to the operation it is now, employing 22 staff at Prospect Hill, Douglas.

A spokesman claimed that in 2018 the firm became the only company in the island to achieve chartered insurance broker status, awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). The firm’s community commitment ranges from sports sponsorships - including chief sponsor of the Manx Hockey Leagues and Peel AFC junior teams - to working with and supporting a range of local charities.

The company recently teamed up with the island’s police to sponsor accredited child car seat training for Community Road Safety Officers - an initiative focused on improving child seat safety.

Mrs Collins, managing director, said: ’Rossborough would not be where it is today without its people and I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to every single member of the team for their hard work and commitment, enabling us to provide a first-class service to our clients and continue to invest in our special island.

’We’re looking forward to the next 15 years of delivering Rossborough excellence.’

Louise Quilliam, professional risks broker, has been with the company from the outset. She said: ’Rossborough truly is a special place to work and I am excited to celebrate this milestone with the team. I have been here from day one and watched it go from a small office to a flourishing enterprise, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for Rossborough.
