Conister Bank has a new recruit to its growing organisation.

Tom Charmer joins the team as sales manager, bringing with him many years of beneficial experience.

Tom, who has lived in the Isle of Man all his life, has been part of the local banking and finance industry since high school.

Tom grew up in the south of the island but now lives in Douglas.

Outside of work, he enjoys golf and football, and above all, spending time with his young family.

On joining the Conister team, Tom said: ‘I have always enjoyed looking after the day-to-day needs of clients, whether that be their first house, a new car or what they wish to do with their hard-earned savings.

‘For much of my banking career, I was based in the branch network; it meant a lot to me to be able to help as many local businesses and personal clients as possible, and to build strong relationships.

‘I look forward to re-establishing those relationships island wide, placing particular emphasis on the south: most of my life has been spent there, so I’m a familiar, friendly face to people.

‘Having the support of Conister to go out and win business will be a rewarding experience for which I’m very grateful. I’m also looking forward to being part of a dynamic team, and most of all, making a difference to the island’s community’.

Andy Bass, associate director and head of sales, said: ‘We are delighted and excited to welcome Tom to the team.

‘He brings more than 10 years of experience in lending to the Isle of Man business and retail sectors.

‘Tom is well-known to many, and the addition of his knowledge and expertise will enable us to step up to meet the growing demand for our products and services’.
