Accountancy firm Browne Craine has created an advisory department.

It is being headed by Aidan Tucker and Lynsey Smith.

Aidan recently joined the firm from KPMG and Mrs Smith is a long-standing partner of Browne Craine, which is based in Peel Road, Douglas.

They will deal with insolvency matters including liquidations, receiverships, restructuring and forensic accounting.

Mr Tucker, who has also worked for PWC, said: ’It’s a wonderfully exciting time at Browne Craine, a forward-thinking business keen to offer a suite of services to its loyal existing client base and new clients alike, I’m really pleased with the opportunity to add value.’

Mrs Smith said: ’The upcoming appointment of Aidan immediately adds value to our business proposition. The creation of this dedicated arm to advisory services, backed by the general practice, demonstrates our desire to service the local community.

’At the end of 2020 Browne Craine merged with Harding Lewis Accountancy practice and we have spent the first quarter of 2021 seamlessly merging the businesses to enhance offerings and efficiencies to both businesses and its respective clients. It is important brands are aligned and we hope to have more exciting news on this in the coming months.’
