Two members of staff at finance firm FIM Capital have been nominated in the Women in Investment Awards.

They are Mary Tait, investment director, and Sara Collister, head of offshore administration.

Mrs Tait has been nominated in the Investment Woman of the Year (small to medium firms)and International Investment Woman of the Year categories.

Mrs Collister has been nominated in the role model and team leader of the year categories.

A spokesman said the Investment Week awards are a significant annual event celebrating the inspiring achievements of women across all parts of the investment industry. The awards are due to take place on December 8 in London.

Mrs Tait, who is a key member of the investment management team at FIM Capital, has recently been formally recognised for her work by her attaining chartered fellowship of the CISI and chartered wealth manager status, the highest awardable qualification.

Mrs Collister has also been nominated having led the development of the offshore administration team and has a background in international banking, life insurance and fund administration.

The independent financial services company which was established in 2006, moved from its offices in Hope Street, Douglas, to Athol Street, earlier this year. They now occupy space in the 55 Athol Street development owned by the Tevir Group.

FIM Capital employs 39 people.
